Branding for Botanically-Based Organic Beauty Products Company

Since 2003, Cassandra Provencher has been a licensed professional in the beauty industry. She is a former model, Mrs. Maine 2012, wife and a mother of four children with a driving passion for making a difference in the lives of others. Through her personal health-related struggles, she has become an advocate for health awareness.

As founder of Amor Provencher, she sees the importance of beauty - both internally and externally. Her experience in the beauty industry, and her health issues relating to many beauty products on the market, has inspired Cassandra to develop a line of botanically-based products as well as a mascara with certified organic ingredients. Each product is personally tested to assess how it performs, feels, and smells with high quality results.

Like other beauty products on the market, Amor Provencher Beauty Products needed a strong and memorable brand identity that resonates with potential customers and embodies the founder’s love for inspiring people.

Through a series of discovery meetings, we developed a direction for the brand and designed four logo designs for consideration. The final design needed to be timeless and graphically represent Cassandra’s love for people. Several of the initial designs were based on the client’s concepts and GCMD created several concepts based on discussions during discovery.

Creating the brand identity was a process of design and problem solving which took several weeks and many revisions - from a French inspired motif design to a more contemporary heart intertwined with a classic font. Since the brand identity would be used in a variety of marketing channels, several variations were created of the final design.

With the first line of products hitting the sales floor, the new brand identity is making a powerful statement about this new beauty products business. The products will be available for wholesale businesses, from salons to spas and retail, as Amor Provencher Beauty Products believes “We can make a difference.” The product line includes shampoo “FRESH & CLEAN”, conditioner “RISE & SHINE”, “MOISTURE CRÈME TREATMENT” for lips which will come with a Maine made bag “Environmentally Friendly”, “GENTLE AS TEARS” Make-up remover, and a mascara, with other products released overtime. The brand identity will be used on the website, business cards, marketing pieces, display signage, advertising, and on product labels.
