The Challenge
When this well-known contractor approached GCMD about their web presence and online marketing, their website looked out of date, was not well structured and (most damaging of all) didn’t show up in web searches. Sheridan had recently hired a company to implement some pay-per-click advertising campaigns, but the results were disappointing. Additionally in online searches Sheridan Construction Corporation was coming up alongside a number of other companies with similar names, which harmed the brand’s online identity and resulted in frustration and confusion for prospective clients.
What We Did
The goal of the new website was to position the business online as the construction leader they truly are, and for the company to begin to show up at the top of organic searches for construction and contractor companies in Maine. The new website needed to clearly tell visitors about the company’s history, the depth of the services offered by Sheridan, and display a visually-pleasing portfolio of completed projects to fully showcase their capabilities across a variety of sectors, including retail, educational, marine, office, warehouse, public safety and more.
The new responsive website is thoughtfully constructed with intuitive navigation. It clearly tells the Sheridan story, educates potential clients about services, and shows up at the top of organic searches. The website is built on an robust platform that integrates with an easy-to-use content management system, client database, forms, email campaigns and other online marketing tools. The site displays projects within the portfolio section using isotope functionality, which allows projects to be sorted by category. Web apps were utilized to manage all the properties in the portfolio section—allowing projects to be displayed on multiple pages as relevant.

What We Achieved
Sheridan Construction Corporation is very pleased with the design and functionality of their new website. Within two weeks of launching the new website, it attracted clients who were looking for immediate construction proposals. This successful website caused Sheridan leadership to cancel their under performing digital advertising campaign.
NOTE: The Company was sold following the re-build and is currently under new management.
