The Challenge
When we first met Darrell DeBoard, his website didn't represent his business or align with the communities he served within a 60-mile radius of Longview, Texas. With over 100 years of combined residential and commercial construction experience, DeBoard Homes is poised for growth, but their website presented them as less than professional. The website's, written content was scant and some of the photos didn't represent the types of homes or commercial buildings in their area of East Texas.
Additionally, the logo design on his website didn't clearly represent the company or the types of services they provide. Business cards, signage, and stationery were not cohesive and poorly designed. Since the owner wants to focus more on new construction over renovations, it's vital to elevate his brand so it appeals to clients with the financial means to build larger new homes.

The homepage features a prominent project image, additional project visuals, service highlights, an About section detailing the company’s history, and service area information. The three service pages provide detailed overviews of their New Construction Process, Home Remodeling, and Commercial Renovation services. To ensure quick responses, all website forms are configured to notify Mr. DeBoard via email instantly upon submission. The website’s professionally written copy enhances its impact, while the Project Profiles page offers brief descriptions of completed projects, with plans for future expansion.
The project also included SEO optimization to improve search visibility. Given DeBoard Homes’ location in a vast area of Texas, identifying the right keywords was essential for driving traffic to the site. These keywords were strategically integrated into the content, page titles, and other elements across the website.
As the website neared completion, Mr. DeBoard requested a new logo design for his business, which is now prominently featured on the site. The logo incorporates the website’s color palette, a complementary font, and a bold graphic, resulting in a distinctive design that elevates the company’s professional image.
Following the logo’s completion, we designed a two-sided business card featuring the new logo and dynamic angled graphics. We also created electronic letterhead for proposals and other business documents, along with standard business envelopes suitable for correspondence and other uses. Mr. DeBoard expressed his satisfaction with the design work, noting its professionalism and impact
