3 Marketing Tactics that Attract Customers

Developing an effective marketing strategy doesn’t have to be complicated. It should be simple enough to be implemented on a consistent basis and produce results over time. Here are three classic tactics you can implement right away.


Blogging is writing your own articles (or news) and sharing your expertise on a particular topic with your target audience. Sharing your expertise may seem counter-intuitive but it’s really about positioning you as an expert in your field. If you think about it, your customers want to work with good and knowledgeable people as much as you do.

Sharing your knowledge enables you to develop trust with potential customers and grow your business. Write articles that answer customer’s questions about a select product or service and problems you can uniquely solve for your target audience. 82% of marketers who blog daily acquire customers while 57% of bloggers who write monthly acquire customers, which is still a great stat.

Blog articles should be scheduled for regular posting and be written around one “long-tail” keyword so it comes up in searches. Make the title catchy and compelling so customers will be enticed to read your article. End the article with a Call to Action or offer to encourage the reader to connect with your business through a form, social media or form.

Video Blogging is quickly becoming the latest trend for engaging prospects and bringing them through the sales funnel. Combine a video with quality written content to create valuable content for your website that customers want to read and watch.

Email Marketing

Emails are still a strong way to engage with potential customer or keep current customer informed about your services and strengthen your relationship with them. 59% of B2B marketers say email is the most effective channel for generating revenue.

Use recent blog articles for some of the content and related articles that align with your business but don’t compete with your business. These related articles provide added informational value to your customer and should comprise about 80% of the email content.

80.8% of users report reading email on mobile devices to make sure your email is responsive to work both on cell phones and computers. Make sure you have a quality email list and an irresistible subject like to elevate your open and conversion rate.

Social Media

If social media isn’t a part of your marketing strategy, then it should be considered as viable part of your marketing strategy and business goals. 83% of marketers indicate that social media is important for their business growth.

Take time to identify the social media channels used by your customers and consistently post quality information and images on those channels. Stats show that social media has a 100% higher lead-to-close rate than traditional outbound marketing.

Posting your blog articles may be a good opportunity to share your knowledge and solutions with customers. Make sure to use images or videos frequently combined with strong calls to action or questions that engage customers.

Social media is really a conversation with the public so don’t try to sell on social, rather entertain and inform your customers.
