PORTLAND, MAINE – GCMD has won an American Graphic Design Award in the Brand Identity category for its work developing the logo, business cards and brochure for startup Liz’s Personal Chef Service.
The American Graphic Design Awards is a five-decade old national flagship competition that recognizes design’s best and brightest in 24 categories from print and packaging to internet and interactive design.This year’s competition received over 8,000 entries from graphic design firms, advertising agencies, in-house corporate and institutional designers, publishers and other media. A highly selective fifteen percent were recognized.
As a startup business, it was important to me to establish myself as a credible and professional gourmet chef to high-end clients. The creation of a strong brand identity was critical during the initial launch of my service,” said owner, Liz Sawicki. “The talent and skills Gray Cat Marketing & Design brought to the project played an integral part in the initial success of my business. My branded marketing materials were well received in the community and by my clients.”
GCMD was started as Gray Cat Marketing & Design in 2009 by Alexandra Heseltine. The design and marketing studio specializes in web design, branding and marketing for small to mid-sized businesses who strive to grow through traditional and online marketing strategies.
